Attention Tired Parents

Have you and your family been struggling with any of the following:

  • You dread naps and bedtime.

  • You are exhausted and are fighting with your spouse or partner.

  • You need to rock, bottle or breast feed to sleep and back to sleep and it seems to be taking longer and your child is waking more than ever

  • It takes hours to get your child to sleep and back to sleep and he/she wakes before 6:00am.

  • You feel like you spend the entire day trying to get your baby/toddler to sleep.

  • Your toddler is getting out of bed multiple times at night.

  • Your toddler stopped napping but still seems exhausted during the day or throwing tantrums.

  • Your own lack of sleep is affecting your job, your ability to parent well and your outlook on life in general.

  • You have tried cry it out or other methods that just didn't work.

  • You feel desperate and don’t know where to turn.

  • You are an intelligent, loving parent and you don't have the time or energy to weed through a lot of science and theory to get to a sleep solution for your family

  • You are unclear on how to handle sleep disruption caused by illnesses, travel, and developmental changes.

If you can relate to any of these then I can help you.

What Families Are Saying

I just wanted to tell you that you are amazing. It has only been one week and D has slept through since night 4. Bedtime routine used to take 45 minutes and now it takes 8. I cannot thank you enough for helping us with the tools to get our life back, and our sweet son. He has gone from an over-tired tantrum toddler, to our sweet and funny boy who gives all the snuggles. Thank you sooooooooooooooo much! This was the best money I have ever spent in my life. Thank you!

Sarah B.

My partner and I found Julie after interviewing several other sleep consultants. I don’t think we are the typical client for using a sleep professional, in that we didn’t have any huge issues when we started. We were first time parents with a 4 month old and he was just starting to build some consistent sleep habits. Julie helped give us more confidence as new parents and she saved us countless hours by helping us have more consistent naps and all of us having better sleep through the night.

Frequently Asked Questions

What ages of children do you work with?

I work with families of children from approximately 4.5 months through to about 6 years old. For babies younger than 4.5 months, I offer guidance on healthy sleep foundations rather than full scale coaching.

What is your sleep-coaching philosophy?

My philosophy is rooted in gentle, respectful, developmentally appropriate strategies that honour your parenting values and your child’s temperament. You do not need to choose between “cry-it-out” or “bed share forever.” We build a plan that fits your family — nurturing your child’s ability to fall asleep and self‐settle while fostering secure attachment and responsiveness.

We’re breastfeeding, room-sharing or co-sleeping — will you still work with us?

Absolutely. Your feeding choices, your sleep arrangements and your family rhythms are all respected. Coaching doesn’t require you to change the things that matter to you — it supports you in finding a path to better sleep within your existing values and lifestyle.

How quickly will we begin to see improvement?

Every child and every family is unique, so timelines vary. Many families begin to notice smoother bedtimes, longer naps or fewer night wakings within a couple of weeks of consistent implementation. My role is to support, adjust and guide as we progress — not to promise overnight magic.

What happens if we have a disruption — travel, illness, developmental leap?

Life happens, and your sleep plan anticipates that. Whether you’re travelling, dealing with illness, teething, a regression or a big developmental milestone — you’ll have support to adjust rather than restart. The goal is resilience and sustainable sleep habits, not perfection every night.

What’s included in a coaching package with you?

Typically, you’ll receive a detailed intake history, a customised sleep plan (tailored to your child’s age, temperament and your family values), and follow-up support calls to review progress, troubleshoot and adjust. I also offer “sibling” or multi‐child consultations, and short “re‐boot” sessions for regressions.

Will you judge how we’ve been doing sleep so far?

Not at all. My job is to meet you where you are, honour your current routines and parenting style, and help you build from there. You’re the expert on your family; I’m the guide helping you find clarity, confidence and rest again.

My toddler wakes frequently but only briefly — can you help?

Yes. Frequent brief night wakings can be exhausting and often signal that your child still relies on certain sleep cues or hasn’t yet mastered self-settling. Together we’ll explore the underlying patterns and gently guide your child toward more independent sleep (in a way that respects your values) so you all rest better.

Is your approach evidence-based and safe for development?

Yes. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a Certified Gentle Sleep Coach, trained in child development, attachment theory and sleep science. My plan builds on your child’s developmental stage, respects feeding and sleeping preferences, and supports long-term wellbeing — not quick fixes.

How do we get started?

Reach out for a free 15-minute introductory call where we’ll talk about your sleep situation, your goals and whether we’re a good fit. If yes, we’ll move to intake, choose the right package for your family, design your custom plan and begin the guided journey toward calmer nights and brighter mornings.
